General Terms and Conditions
The German version is legally binding; translations are provided for information only. Last updated: October 2026. These terms apply to all bookings made via this website.
1. Contracting party
The contracting party for guided tours, city and themed tours, trade fair assistance and interpreting services in Germany and Europe is Besch Berufsbekleidung & Outdoor & Reisen UG (haftungsbeschränkt), as named in the Legal Notice.
We act solely as an intermediary for third-party services (e.g. vehicles, boats, admission tickets, hotels, restaurants); the terms and conditions of the respective provider apply to these.
Anyone booking on behalf of others is liable for their share only if they expressly declare this when booking. Agencies and companies booking for third parties become contracting parties themselves.
2. Services
We owe the services set out in the tour description and the booking confirmation: a licensed private tour guide for the booked duration and your personal route planning.
Admission fees, vehicles, public transport, boat trips, food, drinks, outward and return travel are not included in the price unless the description states otherwise.
Our tours do not include shopping stops at commission-based shops; on shopping tours, too, our advice is independent.
3. Booking and conclusion of contract
The presentation on the website does not constitute a binding offer. By submitting the booking form, you make a binding offer.
The contract is concluded upon our booking confirmation in text form (e-mail is sufficient). For bookings made at least 48 hours before the start, you will receive the confirmation immediately; for shorter notice, we first check the availability of a guide.
Please check the confirmation (date, time, meeting point, number of persons, language) and report any discrepancies within 48 hours.
4. Prices
The fixed price displayed at the time of booking applies. City and themed tours: the daily rate applies to up to 8 persons; each additional person is charged the stated supplement (maximum 48 persons). VIP and luxury tours: the daily rate applies to up to 4 persons (maximum 7). Infants (0–1 years) are not counted in the number of persons.
Interpreting: 85 € per hour, minimum 3 hours; travel time from Magdeburg city centre (outward and return) is charged at 60 € per hour.
If the number of persons decreases after booking, the base price remains unchanged. Additional requests on site (extension, waiting time) are charged separately and are payable immediately.
A tour is never free of charge – not even for children.
5. Payment
A deposit of 30 % of the total price is due upon booking, payable by PayPal or credit card (card payment via PayPal). Only if neither is possible may payment exceptionally be made by instant bank transfer; the customer will receive the bank details personally.
The balance is payable in cash on site on the day of the tour, before it begins.
Bank and payment fees (e.g. international transfer, currency conversion) are borne by the customer. Without full payment, there is no entitlement to performance of the tour.
6. Cancellation by the customer
Cancellations must be made in text form (e-mail is sufficient) and take effect upon receipt.
The following flat-rate charges apply, calculated on the total price: up to 30 days before the start 30 % (the deposit is not refunded), 29–15 days 50 %, 14–7 days 75 %, 6–1 day(s) and in the event of no-show 100 %.
The customer remains entitled to prove that a lower loss has been incurred. Admission tickets already purchased are non-refundable.
7. Rebooking and substitute participant
Rebookings are always subject to a charge: a rebooking is treated as a cancellation with a new booking; the flat-rate charges under clause 6 apply, and payments already made will be credited.
A substitute participant may be named up to the start of the tour without any surcharge, provided that they meet the requirements of the tour.
8. Participants' obligations
Please inform us before booking of anything relevant to the tour: reduced mobility, wheelchair (type, width, weight), pushchair, child seats, allergies.
Minors may only participate when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or by an adult authorised by them.
Each participant is personally responsible for passport, visa, entry and health regulations. On the day of the tour, you must be reachable at the mobile number provided.
The instructions of the guide and the driver must be followed. The customary dress code applies in mosques, churches and synagogues.
9. Late arrival
We wait up to 15 minutes after the agreed time; longer waiting shortens the tour. If you have not appeared after 30 minutes and cannot be reached by telephone, the tour is deemed not to have been taken up (no-show).
10. Changes and force majeure
The route and order may change for objective reasons (opening hours, events, safety, traffic). If a sight is closed, we will offer an equivalent alternative.
In the event of force majeure (official orders, strikes, natural events, failure of means of transport), we may withdraw from the contract and will refund payments already made. Any further claims are excluded.
If the guide is unable to attend and no equivalent replacement is available, you may choose between a new date and a full refund.
11. Liability
We accept unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body and health. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.
The respective provider is liable for third-party services (transport companies, boats, restaurants, events, trade fairs).
12. No right of withdrawal
There is no right of withdrawal for leisure services with a fixed date (§ 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB – Section 312g(2) no. 9 German Civil Code).
13. Complaints
Please report any defects immediately during the tour to the guide or at +49 176 62157259 so that we can remedy them. Claims must be asserted in text form within one month of the tour date.
14. Data protection, applicable law and place of jurisdiction
We use your data solely to carry out the booking; details can be found in the Privacy Policy.
We do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG); mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder shall remain effective.
