On our shopping tours our advice is independent. We never take you to commission shops or to stores that pay bonuses for sales, and there are no planned sales stops. Which outlet suits the brands you want and what you will find on which street, we explain solely according to your wishes and budget. You spend your time in the shops that genuinely interest you and decide without pressure, based on clear information in your own language.
If you live outside the European Union, we also support you with the tax-free refund: from the form in the shop to the customs stamp at the last EU exit point, we explain every step and prepare documents and luggage with you. Duration, start time and route are entirely up to you; for outlet days a vehicle with driver can be arranged on request. Guiding is available in Turkish, German or English.

Why Kurfürstendamm and KaDeWe?

From the 1880s, at the urging of Otto von Bismarck, it was developed into a grand boulevard about three and a half kilometres long, modelled on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. In the 1920s it was a centre of Berlin nightlife, later the showcase of West Berlin. Opened in 1907, the Kaufhaus des Westens is regarded as the largest department store in continental Europe.

Why the Königsallee?
After the city fortifications were demolished, an avenue was laid out from 1802 along the old town moat, at first called Kastanienallee. In 1851 it was renamed Königsallee in honour of the Prussian King Frederick William IV. The tree-lined Kö-Graben canal with its bridges still divides the street into two sides. The Kö is regarded as one of Germany's best-known luxury shopping streets. The Kö-Bogen by Daniel Libeskind, opened in 2013, gave its northern end a modern face.

Why Maximilianstraße?
King Maximilian II had the street laid out from 1852 to plans by Friedrich Bürklein. It was meant to display a new architectural style of its own, the so-called Maximilian style, which combines Gothic and other historical forms. The grand avenue leads from Max-Joseph-Platz at the Residenz across the Isar to the Maximilianeum, seat of the Bavarian state parliament since 1949. Today, with its fashion houses, jewellers and the historic Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, it is Munich's most exclusive shopping street.

How does the tax-free refund work?
Travellers residing outside the European Union can reclaim German value added tax on goods they take out of the EU in their personal luggage. Legally this is a tax-exempt export supply in tourist traffic. The requirements are that the store issues a Tax Free form at the time of purchase and that customs confirms the export at the last point of exit from the EU. The payout is usually handled by specialised refund operators, and sometimes by the store itself.
