As we are based in Magdeburg, we know Saxony-Anhalt and the Harz region particularly well. Magdeburg, the city of Otto the Great, the half-timbered towns of Quedlinburg and Wernigerode, Wittenberg where the Reformation began, Eisleben with the houses where Luther was born and died, the Bauhaus in Dessau and Naumburg Cathedral are highlights of the region, many of them UNESCO World Heritage sites. Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig and Halle are close by. Turkish-speaking guides are rare here; we combine local knowledge with the interests of our Turkish guests, for example the story of Mehmed Ali Pasha, born in Magdeburg, who became an Ottoman field marshal.
A city tour lasts about 7 hours; you choose the start time between 06:00 and 12:00, and the tour can be extended. We can meet at your hotel, the station or an agreed place in the centre. Admission fees, transport and meals are not included; we plan places that need tickets together in advance. Our tours never include commission shopping stops. Infants are not counted in the number of persons; for groups of 16 or more we use a headset system. We are also happy to quote for cities not listed here.
